    2008: Honda RC212V satellite, Scot team

    THEhe debut in MotoGP takes place with the Scot team, team with which Andrea Dovizioso won the world championship 125 (2004) and finished second twice in 250 (2006 and 2007). He has a satellite RC212V at his disposal: then the difference with the factory bike was quite marked. On his debut in Qatar he finished fourth, second among the Honda riders, beaten by Dani Pedrosa (third). In that year, there are riders with Michelins and others with Bridgestones: Andrea has French tires. Conquer a podium, third in Malaysia, once again behind Pedrosa's factory Honda, but ahead of Nicky Hayden's. Closes the championship in fifth place with 174 points.

    2009-2011: Official Honda RC212V, HRC team

    No.n 2009, Andrea is included in the official HRC teamwhere he remains until 2011, even if the last year he runs separately at home: despite a signed contract, Honda wants to move Dovizioso to Fausto Gresini's satellite team, but the rider opposes and HRC is "forced" to do three bikes: later, the rule that imposes a maximum of two riders for each team will be introduced. The bike is the official RC212V: Andrea disputes 54 GPs, with one victory and 15 podiums. Best championship finish: third in 2011, behind one of the two team-mates Casey Stoner (the other is Dani Pedrosa) and Jorge Lorenzo with Yamaha.

    2012: Yamaha M1 satellite, Tech3 team

    No.n 2012 he moved to Yamaha, in the satellite team of Herve Poncharal, alongside Cal Crutchlow. At his debut in Qatar, Andrea is fifth behind his teammate, but at the end of the season he will be fourth in the general classification (Crutchlow seventh), second Yamaha after the official one of world champion Lorenzo. With Yamaha he disputed 18 GPs, winning six podiums.

    2013-2020: official Ducati DesmosediciGP, Ducati team

    D.obvious passes to Ducati, replacing none other than Valentino Rossi. In Qatar he is seventh and the first season is very complicated: Andrea does not even win a podium, closing the championship in eighth position with only 140 points, against 334 of the world champion Marc Marquez. In 2014, however, the engineer Gigi Dall'Igna arrives, the Desmosedici is transformed and thanks also to Dovi's advice it grows year after year. In total, Andrea disputes with Ducati disputed 176 GPs, winning 14 races and climbing the podium 40 times overall, finishing second three times in the overall standings.

    2021: The tests with the Aprilia RS-GP

    TOd April 2021 Dovizioso takes to the track for the first time with the Aprilia MotoGP in Jerez.
    The first approach to the RS-GP of Noale, with the rider from Forlì called by Aprilia to experience first-hand the potential of the bike. Two days of testing followed by other tests at Mugello shortly after and then three more days on the Tuscan track in mid-May.
    The desire to runAndrea said on that occasion, there was still: “Riding a MotoGP is unique and crazy. Difficult to go into details, after riding another bike for eight years, we only worked to find the riding position. We will do another test in a month, hopefully with some changes ”.

    At the end of June, this time in Misano, Dovizioso carried out two more intense days of testing. On that occasion the lap times were good. “It was a very interesting test - Andrea commented -. Trying on a different third circuit was very important to better understand the bike and understand the points to develop. With the next scheduled tests we will be able to make further comparisons and better compare our ideas ". Until that moment the possibility of racing for Aprilia remained open. But then in August he arrived on the RS-GP Maverick Vinales and the Aprilia parenthesis ended.

    2022: Official Yamaha in Team WithU

    C.on the departure of Vinales from Yamaha, and the subsequent move of Franco Morbidelli in the official team, for the 2022 season thus came the opportunity for a return on the Yamaha M1 after the positive experience of 2013 in the Tech3 Team.
    Also this time it is about racing in the second Yamaha team, but with a official treatment: bike 2022 and full support.

    A return to MotoGP with excellent conditions and as many good intentions from the rider as well as from Yamaha, but unfortunately Dovi he struggled more than expected failing to find a way to recover the gap from the best. His intention was to find himself fighting for much better positions in the standings.
    But it did not happen and yesterday the news of the early termination of the experience in Yamahawith the last race on the Misano track in September and the explanations of this decision taken by the rider from Romagna.
