Ready to win the Dakar -
In the latest edition of the Dakar Rally, held in Saudi Arabia, the GASGAS team was proclaimed champion thanks to its 450 Rally model, based on the namesake of KTM. Precisely, the Spanish and the Austrian have been "sisters" for a few years and that is why part of that victory can be attributed to KTM, but now a model has arrived that will seek to dethrone this duet.
We talk about the Fantic XEF Rally -and its more exclusive Factory version-, with which Fantic fully enters the offer of replica motorcycles of the legendary Rally-Raid competitions. We are talking about an "authentic racing bike made for the street", as the firm prefers to call it, since It has development carried out during the Rally itself who knew how to touch our lands to refine components and configurations.
The Euro 5 homologation gives it that versatility to live outside the competitions until its owner decides, and the features that we will develop next give it the off road spirit necessary to face international competitions such as the extremely difficult Dakar.
Like its KTM and GASGAS competition, this Fantic XEF Rally incorporates a mechanical 450cc single-cylinder, based on the Yamaha WR 450 F engine, equipped with electronic injection and ready to attack any type of surface in any context. is connected to two tanks with a total capacity of 30 liters, one on the engine and another in front, to ensure autonomy.
The front mounted oil cooler, Already speaking of the Factory version, it helps maintain maximum airflow, and together with the enlarged oil filter with an additional reservoir, improves lubrication in extreme weather conditions making it possible to cross sand storms, strong winds, dust and all kinds of mishaps.
The engine is enclosed in a aluminum perimeter framelight and resistant, which is associated with the wheels through top-of-the-line Kayaba equipment: Fully adjustable inverted front fork with 310mm travelto absorb any road imperfections and keep the bike on track, and rear suspension with all kinds of adjustments and 300 mm of travel. Practically unbeatable.
For the brakes, Fantic relies on a 300mm front hydraulic disc and 240mm rear disc, to stop the wheels with cross-spoke rims, how could it be otherwise, in sizes 90/90-21 forward and 140/90-18 rear.
instrumentation 7” “RallyScreen” with a plexiglass cover to help protect it from the elements (dust and stones, for example), offers abundant and much-needed information on this type of motorcycle. You can check the “GPX tracks”, roadbooks digital and use any navigation application on the market. In addition, its manipulation can be done both tactilely and through the pineapple controls so that comfort is not compromised.
Here is the big difference between versions: the Factory incorporates a roadbook as standard, which according to Fantic "features a strong steel and aluminum structure designed to support a professional road book and a trip master to orient oneself in any competition".
