SBK Test 2022. Ducati, Honda and BMW are preparing for the round in the UK
In the long break between Misano and Donington, some teams tried at Aragon, on the English and Italian circuits, where Rinaldi set the unofficial track record

LSuperbike never stops, and some teams took advantage of the long one-month break that separates the Misano round from the neighbor of Donington Park (from 15 to 17 July) to work on their respective bikes and keep their riders in training.
At HRC Honda they mean business
D.fter having tested the CBR 1000 RR-R on June 21st on the Donington Park track with the solo Iker Lecuona he returned to the track again, this time in Misano, for two days that those directly involved defined as very interesting and productive.
Also Xavi Vierge was present in the garage of the Romagna track, but was unable to ride his CBR as he broke his right hand in several places in race 2 at Misano. While the test on the English track served more than anything else in Lecuona to learn the tortuous and particular Leicestershire track, on which he had never ridden before, in the two days spent at Misano the Spaniard was flanked by the tester Tetsuta Nagashima.
The driver (who will participate in the Suzuka 8 Hours in the same team as Iker) was not the only Japanese in the garage, given that for the occasion numerous technicians arrived from Japan to understand where to improve the new Fireblade and therefore to allow Lecuona and Vierge to be more competitive. Yet another tangible demonstration of how, unlike in past years (where probably in Japan they had underestimated the necessary commitment), now in HRC there is the will to return to the top of Superbike.
Here are the statements of the young Spaniard:
“I am very happy with the two days of testing at Misano. We are improving a lot and the team has done a great job. We had Tetsuta Nagashima with us and many Japanese technicians came from the factory to find out how they will have to intervene on the bike to continue working and improving it. The presence of Nagashima is important to us because he is a test driver of the parent company, and so now he knows what they will have to do. We worked a lot and covered many laps, with two long run. It was very positive and I was much faster than the race. The focus is now on Donington Park. "
And of the Japanese tester:
“It was a really good experience for me, because I had the opportunity to understand the bike, the Pirelli tires and find the feeling with the CBR on the Misano track. We completed two long runs with Iker, I followed him and I understood better where we need to improve the bike. I tested CBR in Japan and so this experience was very useful for me. We were able to gather more direct information and also exchange our views with those of Iker and Xavi. We have worked a lot in these two days. The lap times were not bad and the race simulation was also promising. We will continue to work hard in Japan and I hope this will help the team, Xavi and Iker. "
Mercado at work too
ORIn addition to the official team, too Leandro "Tati" Mercado and the MIE Racing Honda Team took part in the two-day test at Misano, where they completed their entire work program, and we hope this will allow the Argentine (who recently raced a round of the IDM SBK Championship in Most) to be competitive and to be able to express its full potential.

TOeven the Barni Spark Racing Team took advantage of the two days of Misano to work on both the V4 Superbike of Luca Bernardi than on the V2 Supersport of Bayliss oils. The two young talents need to ride and above all the San Marino rider must find that confidence with his bike that would allow him to exploit its full potential.
Bulega in Superbike?
S.the presence on the track of Nicolò Bulega, who tested the Panigale Superbike of the Ducati test team, the one previously used by Chaz Davies. The young Supersport driver covered a total of 10 laps. A sort of reward for his work and for the results he is achieving in WorldSSP. Nicolò said he was enthusiastic about the experience and performance of the V4 e we would not be surprised to see him next year in the premier class of derivativesbut perhaps in a private / assisted team like Motocorsa.
In addition to the aforementioned drivers, they were also on the track Enea Bastianini, Fabio di Giannantonio, Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Mariniwho rode a Panigale V4S to prepare for the Race of Championswhich will take place during World Ducati Week 2022.
Kawasaki in search of heat in Aragon
Lo last year one of the problems that slowed down the six-time world champion Jonathan Rea, were the performance of his Ninja on very hot days. To avoid this possible negative factor the KRT team has moved to Motorland Aragon, where usually at the end of June the stones also melt. A single day of testing, in which data was collected that will be very useful in races where the temperature will be particularly high. In addition to Jonny, Alex Lowes was naturally also presentwho has undertaken the heaviest amount of work, covering 106 laps.

C.on Michael Van der Mark still injured, it was Loris Baz who joined officer Scott Redding in Donington Park, where the two were to test some new components, coming from Munich.
