The Perfect at Motorally with the Yamaha Ténéré 700: is it still in the swamp in Sardinia?

Three tough days of competition with specials even over 30 kilometers long, two days out of three under the universal deluge that transformed rivulets of water into streams and pools into enormous swamps. Will he get out alive?

H.or course there fourth and fifth round of the Challenge Yamaha Ténéré 700 2022 which was held in Sardinia as part of the Italian Motorally Championship.
Three tough days of competition with specials over 30 kilometers longtwo days out of three under the universal deluge that transformed rivulets of water into torrents and pools into enormous swamps.
There was no lack of difficulties, but above all else won the fun and the spirit of friendship and collaboration between the participants at the Challange. We shared the paddock with the Yamaha champions. With Alessandro Botturi, who obviously won (in the PRO category, you seemed ...) in front of his teammate Pietribiasis.
There Yamaha Ténéré 700 that I rode in the Challenge he uses the Garmin Montana navigator with the GPX tracks provided in the morning (as per regulation and instead of the roadbook).
I customized it with the full exhaust SC Project in titaniumprotections and Acerbis plastic tank (more roomy and impact resistant), mono Ohlins, Andreani fork KIT, tires Dunlop D908RR on Takasago rims from the narrow channel.
Also added the rally footpegs and the Yamaha skid plate. Instead, remove the passenger footrests. In the canals you'd beat us in the calf with an evil beast.

TOassisted on the field by Valentini Moto with all his incredible staffconcluded the competition days without making too many mistakes. I got lost a couple of times, got bogged down just as many but in the end I closed 7th on Saturday, 4th on Sunday.
But this matters little, at 46 and with two small girls at home the priority is not to get hurt!
Above all I am enjoyed as a kid riding the Yamaha Ténéré 700 on wonderful routes, which alternated enduro sections with very fast sections, with special points (closed to traffic) of over 150 km / h recorded by the organization's tracker in the wind turbine area above Olbia.

Excellent as always the direction of the Italian Motorcycle Federation. Appetite comes with eating and now I can't wait to do some other stages of the Italian Motorally Championship with the Yamaha Ténéré 700. To ride the bike, of course, but also to meet new friends with whom I raced in Sardinia!

Special thanks to Valli Moto and Roberto for technical assistance.
